Our Team

Odian Equine Practice has been in continuous operation since 2004.

Dr. Michael J. Odian, DVM

Dr. Odian, known as Dr. Mike by his clients, has been practicing veterinary medicine for more than 20 years. He established Odian Equine in 2004, a general equine practice focusing on sport horse medicine. Clients include many of the top competition horses in the state, from Grand Prix jumpers and A Circuit show hunters to World Champion Western reining horses. He also breeds and raises Percheron draft horses.

Dr. Mike received his Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University and his veterinary degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island. He has served as the track veterinarian for the Thistledown Thoroughbred track and the Northfields Park Standardbred track in Ohio and is a current member of the Maryland Horse Industry Board. Dr. Odian is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the International Society of Equine Locomotive Pathology.

Maureen Odian, MHA — Practice Manager,
Registered Veterinary Technician

Maureen has always loved horses and grew up riding. She worked with Dr. Mike at his practice in Ohio, and helped establish Odian Equine with him in 2004.

Maureen received her Vet tech degree from Columbus State in Ohio. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration, both from Mount St. Mary’s University.

 

Kory Elbin, Veterinary Assistant

Kory has been a horse rider since she was a child. She developed her passion for horses while riding various disciplines, including hunters, eventing and Western. She has worked with Odian Equine since March 2015. Kory also teaches riding lessons and runs summer camps. Kory lives in Littlestown, PA with her small son, where she and her family have operated a small boarding facility since 1995. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster College’s Vet Tech program.

Becky Cory, Veterinary Assistant and Trainer

Becky has been breaking and training young horses since 1989. She has expertise in horse training in all disciplines, from racing and eventing to showing and trail riding. Becky uses a successful, non-aggressive technique that she personally created. She also exercises the horses while they are recovering in rehab at Odian Equine.
